Since
the late 1970’s, Energy Planning Consultants (EPC) has been advising and preparing energy
assurance plans
for state and local governments. The first Colorado Petroleum Shortage Emergency Plan was written in
1984 and updated on four occasions by our company. We have also completed
energy plans for Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Kansas, New Hampshire, and
Wyoming
(click here for more descriptions). These
state energy assurance plans cover all-energy related shortages such as: electricity,
motor fuels, aviation fuel, coal supply for power plants, natural gas,
heating oil, and propane. Many of the state energy offices were formed in
response to the energy crisis of the early 1970s. These offices have evolved
to become important agents of change - researching, demonstrating and
deploying emerging energy technologies. These offices spur energy-related
energy solutions that address their citizens' needs and increase our
national energy security. Recently, EPC completed several
city and local government energy assurance plans.
