During the past 20-years there has been four major power outages in the U.S. lasting more than 3-days. During a major power outage gasoline stations can't pump gasoline, refineries shut down, signal lights go dark, airlines and truckling come to a halt. Most city and county fleet management facilities do not have an emergency generator.
